About the event
Xavier University of Louisiana brings a 50-year legacy of impactful STEM programs and an unwavering commitment to developing servant leaders for a global society. As the only HBCU pharmacy school in the nation and a city steeped in sensory culture, Xavier — in New Orleans — is the perfect home for The Scent Lab. XULA’s investment in pre-college student development mirrors our own: cultivating enrichment, mentorship, and career exploration so students arrive at their future ready.
Fragrance is a science you can smell. Students will explore the chemistry of aromatic compounds, the biology of scent perception, and the creative process behind fragrance formulation — all while learning how one of the beauty industry’s most emotional categories is also one of its most scientific.
This experience highlights career pathways in fragrance chemistry, sensory science, and product development — and empowers students to see scent as a medium for both artistic expression…
